The Experience

Crystal has repeatedly been voted the World's Best cruise line and Crystal Symphony is certainly a top level classic.

From the moment you step aboard, you become so much more than a guest...you become a privileged member of our Crystal Family® at sea, the Crystal Society®. Welcoming graciousness and a friendly smile.

An unwavering standard of excellence by professionals who share your passion for world discovery. The essence of Crystal Cruises lies in its people. Be it your first voyage with us, or one of many returns, you immediately feel a sense of belonging, a sense of place. This is your home upon the sea. It's the champagne chilled to perfection. The caviar served with hand-carved mother-of-pearl and delicately buttered blinis. It's the unspoken desire to make your every wish come true. Two sugars with your espresso, light cream on the side.

With discreet attentiveness, your every wish is anticipated, your special preferences remembered. With her sleek silhouette and shimmering elegance, the legendary Crystal Symphony finds a natural home in the world's most glamorous harbors and idyllic ports of call. High above the sea, where warm rays of sunshine meet cool ocean breezes, Wimbledon Court welcomes doubles and singles matches.

The 982-square-foot Suites aboard Crystal Symphony now feature expanded living space with elegant dining area, state-of-the-art audio-visual system, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a magnificent all-crystal pedestal sink in the powder room. Open and airy, the breakfast and lunch venue sports a refined yet modern motif with abundant natural light and colors and details inspired by the Hampton seashore.

Key among Crystal Symphony's recent $15 million redesign is the newly styled Avenue Saloon, one of the ship's most popular venues. The Piano bar retains its 19th - century gentlemen's club feel with rich mahogany woods, buttery leathers, and luxury velvets. Enjoy delectable delights or just relax with a drink in hand in the new Palm Court which recalls the glamour-filled coconut grove of Hollywood's yesteryear with an ultra contemporary flair. The opulent bridge lounge features a 12K gold champagne leaf ceiling, under which guests may enjoy the comfortable game tables, top tier state-of-the-art audio/visual tools, and the warm ambient luxe lounge feel. The Crystal Symphony will make the most of your precious vacation days and show you what it truly means to be pampered.

Dining

Crystal Dining Room

With our signature focus on choice, the Crystal Dining Room now offers two menus each evening: an innovative new "Modern" menu including dishes such as a Slow-cooked Shiraz-braised Oxtail Ragout, or a re-imagined Strawberries Romanoff with Cotton Candy dome, alongside a "Classic" menu of traditional favorites.

"Lighter Fare" - options including low-sodium, low-cholesterol, low-carb selections and vegetarian dishes are also included on every menu.

The Crystal Dining Room offers open seating for breakfast and lunch. Perfect Choice Dining is offered at dinner-time. Choose from:

  • Classic Main (beginning at 6:15 pm)
  • Classic Late (beginning at 8:30 pm)
  • Dining by Reservation (available between 6:15 pm and 9:15 pm), offering the flexibility to dine when and with whom you wish. Actual times vary by itinerary and are printed in Reflections on board.

Perfect Choice Dining

Perfect Choice Dining, a unique concept offered in the Crystal Dining Room, allows you to choose Classic Main (seated at 6:15pm), Late Seating (seated at 8:30pm), or Dining by Reservation (when and with whom you wish) for your evening dining.

Our complimentary Dining by Reservation affords you ultimate freedom, inviting you to dine at a different time, at a different table, just for two or with newfound friends. This option can be selected at the time of booking. Once your cruise is fully paid, you may then reserve your personal dining times at our Priority Check-in & Planning Center (PCPC).

As many traditional cruisers prefer classic dining options that allow them to dine at the same time each evening during their cruise - at the same table with their regular tablemates and served by their familiar evening wait staff - we are pleased to continue offering our Classic Main and Late Seatings, too.

Breakfast and lunch in the Crystal Dining Room are open seating.

Prego

Charming and romantic, Prego brings the flavors of Italy to Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity. Savor intimate table side service and a seasonally changing menu of traditional favorites such as Scaloppine Di Vitello Servite Con Capelli D'angelo and Linguine Con Aragosta E Zucchini. Serving dinner only.

Silk Road & The Sushi Bar

The eclectic–and delectable–cuisine of world-renowned master chef Nobuyuki "Nobu— Matsuhisa is prepared by Nobu-trained chefs at Silk Road and The Sushi Bar. Regarded for his innovative approach to sushi, Nobu blends classically styled Japanese foods with distinct Peruvian and European influences. While The Sushi Bar offers an assortment of Nobu's inventive sushi and sashimi, including Salmon Tartar, Tiradito Nobu-style and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño, Silk Road presents his celebrated dishes such as Lobster with Truffle-Yuzu Sauce, Grilled Wagyu Beef Rib-Eye with Wasabi Pepper Sauce, and his signature dessert, a Bento Box filled with Chocolate Soufflé Cake with Shiso Syrup and Sesame Ice Cream. The famed chef enjoys a long history with Crystal and unveiled his own line of fine china during Crystal Serenity's inaugural season. Serving dinner only.

Vintage Room

An innovative concept in wining and dining is offered aboard Crystal Cruises. The Vintage Room promotes wine education and the vast range of fine wines available on board. In addition to tastings and discussions in this beautiful room, guests may partake in a variety of private wine-themed dinners by special arrangement with the Head Sommelier.

Lido Café

This is a buffet-style, indoor/outdoor venue for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast includes made-to-order omelets, waffles and pancakes to your liking, in addition to a large selection of other breakfast favorites. Lunch offers made-to-order pastas and salads, a delicious selection of our famous soups, carved meats, fresh catches of the day and a tempting array of sumptuous desserts, including sugar-free options. Lido Café is also the venue for afternoon Theme Buffets, as well as dinner on select evenings (Crystal Symphony). Dress is casual. Reservations are not required.

The Bistro

This popular European-style coffee bar and café is a favorite meeting place open every day from 9am to 11pm. Complimentary espresso, caffe latte, cappuccino and specialty teas are served in our comfortable café, graced by the whimsical paintings of celebrated artist Guy Buffet.

Wines and champagne by the glass are also available. Light snacks are served throughout the day, ranging from fresh pastries and fruit in the morning to a selection of international chesses, charcuterie, pastries, and other delicacies in the afternoon and into the late evening.

Trident Grill & Ice Cream Bar

Mid-ship dining spaces on Lido deck are all new and redesigned for a more open, casual and relaxed dining experience including the Trident Grill which offers classic hamburgers, cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, chicken burgers, hot dogs, tuna melts, wrap sandwiches and gourmet pizzas. And for a special cold treat, Scoops ice cream bar features a wide variety of Ben & Jerry's ice creams, plus, nonfat frozen yogurt and sherbets, with tempting toppings, and fresh baked cookies.

Afternoon Tea

A special event at Crystal Cruises, each afternoon tea service presents a selection of savories and sweets served in the sunlit charm of Palm Court. Our Mozart Tea is a visit to 18th-century Vienna as you are greeted by staff dressed in velvets and brocades and are tempted by a selection of the finest cakes and pastries from Austria. Our English Colonial Tea offers a taste of tradition, complete with scones, finger sandwiches and assorted sweets. The American Tea is a Crystal Cruises creation, paying tribute to the classics of the American summertime.

Themed Buffets

With some of the most exotic destinations and stunning coastlines in the world as a backdrop, lavishly arranged luncheon buffets take place on the Lido Café on select days at sea. Imagine cruising the Italian Riviera as you dine on the Mediterranean-themed Cuisines of the Sun. Think Nuevo Latino celebrating the fiery gastronomy of South America, or an Asian Café showcasing flavors of the Pacific Rim. Regardless of where you travel, these events are always much more than a meal-they are true gastronomic celebrations of extraordinary cultures around the world. Serving lunch on select days at sea.

Kosher-style Dining

A wide choice of pre-packaged kosher-certified meals, including meats, seafood and poultry as well as white and red kosher wines is available on a limited basis, on every itinerary. All chefs, kitchen and dining staff have been trained in kosher food preparation, handling and servicing. Only kosher pots, pans and utensils are used, and plates, silverware and glassware are washed separately. Due to limited provisioning resources, the number of guests per cruise who may partake in our kosher-style program is restricted to 20. Guests' whose diet requires or who wish to dine kosher-style must provide us with advance notice at the time of the initial reservation, and no less than 90 days prior to sailing. We will do all that we can.

Room Service

From breakfast in bed to dinner on your verandah, Crystal's complimentary 24-hour in-stateroom dining is a true indulgence. At sea or in port, you may enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in the sumptuous comfort of your own room, served with the same precision and attention to detail so graciously displayed in every restaurant. During lunch and dinner hours, you are welcome to order the same selections offered in the Crystal Dining Room, served course by course, if you so desire. And if you're traveling in a Penthouse, you may also enjoy the additional privilege of ordering from our specialty restaurants during dinner hours. Offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Activities

The special entertainment and activities have not been announced for this cruise as of November 1, 2016. You can count on sexually oriented nightly themed parties, energy-charged daily sponsored pool parties full of music, contests, dancing, and a lot of giveaways from cruise sponsors.

What are the US Passport requirements?
As of June 1, 2010, per the US State department, all United States citizens now NEED A PASSPORT to return to the United States following a cruise. To avoid problems, the cruise line will not allow you to embark without a valid passport! Don't try it because there are no refunds if you are not allowed to board the ship.

This is an April 2013 cruise, so you have plenty of time to apply for your United States passport, or update your non-US Passport. Non-US citizens are responsible to verify if you will need a Visa for your specific nationality.

What Gratuities are included in the gratuities and port charges
All dining and stateroom gratuities are included in your additional charges fees. This eliminates all of the envelope gratuities payments from past cruise experiences. Alcoholic beverages, soda, and coffee drinks are not included in the gratuities, therefore Royal Caribbean will automatically add 15% to each of your individual bar tabs.

Additional tips are always welcome for the crew members that go the extra mile for you, especially your bartenders and room stewards.

Our hope is to continue to offer Lifestyle cruise charters, and with your help in adhering to the rules listed below:

  • Nudity will be allowed at all pool areas and spa tubs while you are on board the ship. Nudity is not allowed in any food area except the pool deck snack bars.

  • Special Themed Lifestyle parties will be provided at which nudity will be allowed.
